Creative Curly Girl - Michelle-Rene' The very first baby cake was born in the mid 90's when Michelle-Rene' was stumped on what kind of gift to give a pregnant friend. She knew that she wanted something different and unique, but nothing in the stores seemed quite right. She put her creative mind to work and the ideas came flowing. Combining love and ingenuity, she created her very first BabyCake, and she knew right away it was the 'birth' of something special. The BabyCake was a hit, and the orders came pouring in. Michelle-Rene' worked hard, growing her first business, A YOUnique Gift, by word of mouth. She quickly expanded to internet sales with her website ILoveBabyCakes.com, and she began receiving orders from all over the United States. In 2009 “Curly Girls” launched a new, high quality website with an expanded line of fresh and exciting BabyCake designs which have already reached the White House, a famous rock band in Los Angeles AND Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, CA!! Michelle-Rene’ has an Associates degree in Business from Ocean County College. She went on to study Massage & Bodywork at the Institute for Therapeutic Massage in Red Bank, NJ and graduated in 2003. When she is not busy being an entrepreneur, Michelle-Rene' spends her days working full time in Human Resources for an Early Intervention company and moonlights as a Massage Therapist.
